The Maserati Royal Charity Polo Trophy 2018

Gloucestershire, 10 June 2018. – Premium, award-winning, luxury jewellery house Dhamani 1969 of Dubai is delighted to once again support two British charities – Centrepoint and The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity– both of which have Prince William as Patron. The charities are benefitting from funds raised through the annual Maserati Royal Charity Polo Trophy, which took place at Beaufort Polo Club in Gloucestershire on June 10th 2018.

The polo match took place in front of several thousand spectators, with the Dhamani 1969 team headed by Karan Thapar and the Maserati Polo Team including Prince William of Windsor, Duke of Cambridge. After a tight-fought match the final result saw a close finish 6 – 5 ½ in favour of Maserati.

DHAMANI Makes Donation to Al Jalila Foundation

Dubai, 10 May 2018. – Al Jalila Foundation, a global philanthropic organisation dedicated to transforming lives through medical education, treatment and research, announced today that it has received AED 100,000 donation from Dhamani for the proceeds from the DPINK collection created with the most sought after pink diamonds in the world, Argyle pinks. The initiative to mark the ‘Year of Giving’ saw Dhamani pledge 5% of the entire year’s sales of the exclusive pink diamonds to Al Jalila Foundation to support breast cancer treatment and research. 

It is estimated that one in eight women will develop breast cancer, making it the most common cancer among women. In the UAE the average age of diagnosis of breast cancer is 10 years younger than elsewhere in the world. The high prevalence of breast cancer reinforces the critical need for medical research and improved treatment to combat the disease and ultimately, save lives.

Since inception, Al Jalila Foundation has invested more than AED 5 million to fund 7 breast cancer research studies and provide quality medical care and treatment to 26 patients in the UAE.

The charities are benefitting from funds raised through the annual Maserati Royal Charity Polo Trophy at Beaufort Polo Club in Gloucestershire on June 11th2017. 

The polo match took place in front of several thousand spectators, with the Dhamani 1969 team headed by the Maharaja of Jaipur and the Maserati Polo Team including Prince William.  After a tight-fought match the final result saw Dhamani 1969 take victory with a score of 7 goals to 6½.

Supporting breast cancer research and prevention

Dubai, 29 December 2016 – In the frame of its continue support to Al Jalila Foundation, Dhamani 1969 was among the Gold Sponsors of the inaugural Brest Friends Festival held at the Al Barsha Pond Park on October 27th 2017, organized by Brest Friend in partnership with Al Jalila Foundation. First of its kind of festival to be held in Dubai, the initiative was an effort to raise awareness and reduce the stigma of breast cancer through education on symptoms, treatment and to promote a healthy lifestyle. Tens of people with their families experienced a wonderful day out full of exercise options and healthy food choices.

Dhamani 1969 offered the visitors of Brest Friends Festival a special gift voucher for the collection DPINK Butterfly to be enjoyed until the end of 2017. In fact, Dhamani 1969 pledged 5% of all sales from its DPINK collection during 2017 will go to the Al Jalila Foundation.
