HISTORY & HERITAGE
1969
The Dhamani family ventured into trading of gemstones.
1970’s
The first overseas expansion of Dhamani Jewels Group were to enter new trading markets in the Far-East Asia & North America.
1980’s
The Dhamani Jewels Group further grows its presence with an office in Hong Kong – the hub of precious stones trading in South Asia.
1990
Setup of a gemstone and diamond trading office in Bangkok (Thailand) to further strengthen the supply chain and trading amongst far-east countries.
The directors of Dhamani Jewels started trading diamonds and gemstones to traders, retailers and manufacturers in the UAE.
1998
Setup of a gemstone and diamond trading office in Dubai (UAE) to further strengthen trading amongst Middle East based retailers and manufacturers.
2000
Launch of the first retail boutique selling fine jewellery at the famous Gold Souk in Dubai.
2003
Dhamani Jewels was awarded the Bareeq Certification and was recognised as the first jeweller in Dubai for good jewellery trading practice.
2005
Honoured with the awarding of the exclusive selling rights for The Dubai Cut Diamond – The 99 Faceted Diamond.
2006
Launch of Dhamani’s first mall concept retail boutique at the Mall of the Emirates.
2008
Launch of flagship boutique store at The Dubai Mall.
2014
Launch of the Dhamani 1969 retail brand, a high jewels brand and the first of its kind amongst any regional jewellery brands.
2014
Dhamani 1969 Dubai Mall Boutique wins the Best Boutique Design Award 2014 by MECSC: Middle East Council of Shopping Centres.
2015
Dhamani 1969 Dubai Mall Boutique was awarded The BEST of the BEST Gold VIVA Award (ICSC).
2015
Dhamani 1969 brand hosted the most expensive fashion show in the world featuring diamond jewellery with rare and exceptional jewels.
2016
Launch of Dhamani 1969 retail boutique at the prestigious Burj Al Arab Hotel in Dubai.
2017
Appointed as Select Atelier™ for Argyle Pink Diamonds.
2019
Dhamani Jewels has the privilege of becoming a sight holder of Namdia, Namib Desert Diamonds (Pty).
2020
Intertek grants Dhamani Jewels Group ISO 9001:2015 registration of conformity.
